I have installed the new versions and all seems well :D Overnight HouseBot had grown to 70MB but not crashed so ATM I am apportioning blame on the other plugin . I suspect a garbage collection when it occurs will reduce this anyway. I'll keep an eye on this. Re Interface layout... I am quite new to ...

Ok - I've been playing a little now and I have three zones of Sonos setup within HouseBot. It all seems to work really nicely . Except I left it running overnight last night and this morning HouseBot had crashed and was showing 140MB of memory usage . So I started it up again this morning and left i...

Hi Scott , Just catching up again here Is animated GIF support a difficult task ? I'm guessing so as they've been mentioned several times. I've seen some Flash threads too , which is even more powerful, is there anything in the works here or elsewhere for nicely animating some buttons etc ideally wi...

Just seen this... looks great :-)

Everything seems to be working, please do keep posting any updated scripts - and the theme graphics will be great to start to play with too.

Cheers Kevin

The Nokia N800 has just now gone on clearance too - making way for the N810 I guess ( £149 in the UK ).

A Linux HouseBot client would be great for these devices ;-)

Re: The primer continues

I haven't gotten a whole lot of response from this ... Osler Hi there - just to say that I'm watching this topic with great interest and appreciate all the information you're posting. As well as obviously the objective of integrating Sonos (which I have) with HouseBot I'm also keen to learn a lot m...

Support for the Nokia 770 ?

Is there any chance that the Nokia 770 could be supported as a client - it's such an ideal device for this (but not Windows based) ?

Fantastic ! I did step through the sample remote but missed that significance - perhaps because it was just a button. Great when a feature you suspect isn't there turns up after all ! This really is a very interesting application :D Is the theme/remote used in the screenshots of HouseBot on Meedios ...

Can you have dynamic images on a remote screen ?

New to HouseBot - was wondering if you can display dynamic images on a remote screen - for example the cover art of an album or a weather map ?

Something where the image is transferred from the server when displayed.

Re: xAP for HouseBot - and can I programatically create devi

This isn't going to be practical, xAP devices have many different properties - for example the xAP Netiom I/O board has 103 properties covering it's inputs and outputs, Maybe I'm not visualising this device correctly - if you had a 'device' that had say 8 relay outputs on it , (you might have sever...

Re: xAP for HouseBot - and can I programatically create devi

2) Is there any way to create devices under program/script control from HouseBot. Ideally I would like to be able to add/modify/delete a software device, by modify I mean alter the number and type of properties a device has. Absolutely. The easiest thing to do is to add a "Null Device" an...

xAP for HouseBot - and can I programatically create devices

I'm very new to HouseBot/Meedio so excuse me if these are silly questions - I'm trying conceptually to understand the best way to approach adding xAP support. xAP is a HomeAutomation protocol that presents all devices via an Ethernet connection using UDP (oversimplified). All devices are broadcast i...

C-Bus ... via xAP maybe

Also very interested in what's happening here ?? I have a lot of C-Bus installed but very new to Meedio. I am actually a C-Bus Enabled Partner and have coded an embedded xAP to C-Bus gateway. I am thinking of approaching this with a xAP plugin that will bring a whole host of devices/control to Meedi...
