Re: Windows 10 - OK so far...

OK, I am making the jump too- mostly for power savings. I got one of those tiny 6 watt PCs. Working great, except that my scripts aren't running. I get Unable to load script file [path]. Error = [The request is not supported] Unable to open script file [path]. Is there something that needs to happen...

Whole house audio update

Due to losing my work on the THCjukebox script (converting to multi zone), I had to go back to square one. I started to modify the script and devices again, but balked at the (repeated ;-) work. Seemed like there must be a better solution these days... What I had in place was - Speakers in several z...

Re: Serial device configuration question

Yup, now that you mention it, there it is! RTFM! ;-) I guess I was thrown off by the whole concept of assigning commands- wasn't what I was expecting. By the time I got my head around that, I was looking at the posts in the forums. My setup is working now- not sure what changed, although I did kill ...

Re: Serial device configuration question

OK, I know this is a big time zombie thread, but I am sooooo close... I am trying to set up control for an Extron matrix switch. It is a serial device that I want to send arbitrary commands to. I followed Richard's plan here, right to the letter (I think ;-). My ICC looks like his, with Send Data fo...

Re: Wrapper for C# plugin development!

Hey Steve- pretty sure you can use the free versions of the MS tools to build this stuff, in whatever language you want.

Re: Task "One Shot"

I'm not quite sure what you mean- it should only run when ALARM.Status changes, right? I have a timer on my basement lights that works off a motion detector... I use a flag variable to mask out all the re-triggers. You could use something like that, an extra variable to block the task from triggerin...

Re: Trying to restore from backup, Jet error

I actually JUST got is going last night. It wasn't the file itself that was locked- I was able to open it with MDBViewerPLUS, which Is what I have used in the past to mess with it. But as I tried to look at the records, when I got to the DevicePropertyMap, I got a "Data provider or other servic...

Trying to restore from backup, Jet error

Hello- My system had an unscheduled shutdown, and on reboot, the database was corrupted. No problem, I pulled out the backup, bit it won't load either- I get this error, right after it loads the Z-wave devices- The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and another user are at...

Re: Winamp version vs HB driver/plugin

Another option, albeit more expensive, would be to upgrade the receiver in your sound system (home theater, stereo, whatever) with one that has a Pandora app built in. And choose a receiver that can do two or more zones. Then you can control access to Pandora with IR or RS232, depending on the rece...

Re: Winamp version vs HB driver/plugin

I'm pretty sure all I did was follow the directions in the documentation... good luck, let me know if I can help.

I've considered running Pandora off a browser and out the default audio and then in the line-in of my Maudio cards. But that would only work for one zone.

Re: Winamp version vs HB driver/plugin

Hi Steve!

I installed the latest and greatest (as of Jun 28th 2012) this summer when I moved to a new server. v5.63(x86). I have not noticed any issues with it, running multi-zone Jukebox.

You wouldn't happen to have a Pandora-winamp/housebot solution would you??? I'd kill for that.
